The Family: Truth vs. Myths
Honor thy Father and thy Mother
There is no greater love than that of God for His Creation.
Our only metric for determining the depth of God’s love for humanity, is to compare it to the love of parents for their children; however, God’s Love is Pure. It is not tainted by the guilt and fear of being wrong that tortures a parent’s ability to judge their children. Only in that context, can we begin to comprehend God’s love for humanity.
The family structure is designed to give humans the opportunity to know what it is like to be God. When a man and woman successfully copulate, they create a human being. That makes parents god-like beings with the ability to create life. Their offspring will have free-will, giving them the power to honor their parents, or to rebel against their authority. Anyone who has been a parent knows the difficulty of trying to guide their creation into being a morally sound loyal member of the family. That very difficult experience is designed to give humans a taste of what it is like to be God. In the “Ten Commandments,” God admonished the ancient Israelites to:
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which
the Lord thy God giveth thee. Ex. 20: 12.
The “Ten Commandments” are no longer in effect; nevertheless, it is important to note that the only earthly power structure the God of Abraham commanded the Israelites to honor is the family.
Herding Cats
When I was a child, we had a cat named Mini that would wander off and become pregnant. She would return to our basement, gather some old clothes and make a place to give birth. Mini would bear six to eight kittens, and begin to breast feed. The kittens were born blind, so they would stay close to her and nurse. As they gained their sight, the kittens would start to wonder off. Mini would get up, with the other kittens still nursing, and grab the stray and bring it back to the nest. This was very stressful for Mini, so we would put the nest in a box to help her keep the kittens close. The confinement would work for a while, but soon the kittens were big enough to climb out of the box, and Mini would spend most of her day trying to bring them back.
I am telling you this story, because heading a family is like herding cats. When children are small, you can keep them close and protect them from danger. When they become teenagers, they begin to wonder off, and get into trouble. Unlike cats, you cannot put them in a box; consequently, they become susceptible to the advice of “teachers” and fellow students who claim to know more than their parents. At that point the rebellion begins, and many families fall apart. Those who can convince their children to “Honor thy Father and Mother,” will succeed. Those who cannot, will fail.
God is your Heavenly Creator, your parents are your earthly creators.
What did Satan do? He rebelled against his Heavenly Creator.
What did Adam do? He disobeyed the instructions of his Heavenly Creator.
What did Judas do? He betrayed his Heavenly Creator to gain acceptance by the religious leaders in Jerusalem.
What did Ananias and Sapphira Do? They lied to the Holy Spirit of God. As punishment, they received the second death, from which there is no resurrection. See Acts 5: 1-16.
What do disobedient children do? They rebel against their earthly creators, disobey their instructions, and betray them to gain acceptance by their peers, teachers, gang leaders, a girl / boyfriend, psychiatrist, or, in some cases, their religious leaders etc.. God gives us our parents; when we reject their authority, we reject God.
Know this; your relationship with your parents is the biblical metric for assessing your standing with God. “Honor thy father and thy mother….” Regardless of your earthly relationship with your parents; in the next life, under the Kingdom (government) of God, you will Honor your Father and your Mother.
A Family is not a Democracy.
If a father, regardless of his abilities, is not the head of the family, there is no family. There may be something else, and it might facilitate a living arrangement, but it will not be a family.
To Achieve Inner and Universal Peace
The key to human existence on earth is large self-sufficient families, and small weak government. Do not honor any ideology, political party, government leader, religion, or intellectual cult, “Honor thy father and thy mother.” If everyone on the planet follows that Divine Commandment, we will achieve inner and universal peace.
Knowing God’s purpose in honoring the family is the key to human existence. The human family is a microcosm of the Kingdom (government) of God that will rule in the next life. My experience as a Father has allowed me to understand the difficulty of creating and living in harmony with children who have free-will. I came to understand that the purpose of our exile on earth, is to let us know what it is like to be God. The God of Peace will not tolerate dishonesty, rebellion, or strife in His Domain.
Your parents are a direct gift from God. Regardless of their ability, Honor and Treasure Them to be at Peace.
The Second Death of Ananias and Sapphira
In the life that follows death on earth, the Government of God chosen from the ancient Israelites will rule over humanity with perfect justice. Ananias and Sapphira were Born Again disciples of Jesus. When they received the Holy Spirit their communication with God was restored, and they passed from the Adamic death into eternal life. At that point, they were subject to judgment by the Kingdom (government) of God. When they lied to the Holy Spirit filled Apostles Peter, they received the second death.
The judgment of Ananias and Sapphira is a revelation of the consequences for merely lying to an official in the Kingdom of God. Take it seriously. I repeat; the God of Peace will not tolerate dishonesty, rebellion, or strife in His Domain. Study carefully the Divine Judgment of Ananias and Sapphira in the New Covenant Book of Acts. Acts 5:1-16.
The Ten Commandments
God gave the ancient Israelites Ten Commandments as a guide for how to earn a place in the Kingdom (Government) of God in the next life.
The first four of those commandments were a guide for how the ancient Israelites should Honor God.
And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Ex. 20:1-3
There are three additional Commandments instructing the ancient Israelites on how to Honor God.
The Ten commandments do not apply to humans in the modern world, because God ended his interaction with the Israelites in a.d.70. However, the remaining six commandments are an excellent guide to a peaceful existence for humans in the modern world. If you break these commandments God will not punish you, because we are not under the Law that God Gave to the ancient Israelites. Notwithstanding, these commandments are the basis for all of humanity’s laws; therefore, if you fail to comply with them, human governments will give you a “Death Penalty,” or put you in jail. The Six earthly commandments are an excellent guide for our moral behavior, and the key to a peaceful existence while we are in death / exile on the Earth.
(There is no such thing as a “Death Penalty.” All of the descendants of Adam, while on the earth, are in death. What comes next is life. Only God can impose a Death Penalty. See Gen. 3, Acts 5:1-16, and Life and Death: the Truth on the Navigator.)
The Six Earthly Commandments
1 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. (Honor your parents / “earthly creators.” They gave you mortal “life,” and the opportunity to achieve eternal life after death / exile on earth.) Ex. 20:1.
2 Thou shalt not kill. (Do not commit murder)
3 Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Keep your commitment to your spouse)
4 Thou shalt not steal. (Do not take what does not belong to you)
5 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (Do not lie)
6 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
(Do not create a “progressive tax to punish the rich,” and do not be jealous of your neighbor’s success, or seek to confiscate his wealth.) Ex. 20: 12-17 See the link Tithing: Fleecing the Flock on the Navigator.
Using these God-given eternal laws to guide our personal morals will give us a peaceful existence here in death / exile on the earth.

Only God can Create Life
God did not give that power to the Angels, He gave that power exclusively to the Archangels and Humans. The earth is God’s incubator of souls for the next life. Ponder that reality.
6 Then the angels commanded Adam and Eve, to arise and pray forty days and forty nights; and after that, that Adam should come in to his wife; for then this would be an act pure and undefiled; and he should have children who would multiply, and replenish the face of the earth. 1A&E 73:1-9. See also Gen 1:27-28.
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. Eccl. 11:5.
Messiah said: “And you shall Know the Truth, and the Truth will Set You Free.” Joh. 8:32.
The Truth in one sentence
The Bible is a closed history of God’s interactions with the Israelites in the ancient world. It is not a handbook for religion, or an ongoing revelation. Neither is it a myth as disparaged in the atheistic and theological cults of academia. It is a closed history. Not a word has been added to that history for two thousand years. Think about that!
Study the Bible as history and you will know the Truth that sets you free. Joh. 8:32.
